The cost has been kept at $20 for those that pay by the end of March and $25 after that, renewals can be paid at the AGM or by transfer to Direct deposit to the following:-
Acc Name: AHARS
BSB: 105 186
Acc no: 036 248 940
Please email the Treasurer with the details. firstname.lastname@example.org
Your membership status will be updated, this will ensure that you will continue to receive Club information and auction notices (new auctions will shortly be circulated), plus any other relevant notices.
There will be two speakers at the AGM, first will be Sasi VK5SN, who will give us a run down on the changes to the training regime now that the ACMA has selected the Australian Maritime College to handle the examinations and assessment process and how the current WIA assessors will be affected, this is important information for all. In consideration of Sasi's other duties as a maritime radio monitor, he will be allowed to speak at the beginning of the meeting before the AGM commences so he may be released if required.
The second speaker will be Paul VK5PAS who will speak on how to drive the AHARS web site, this will commence after the completion of the AGM proceedings and the supper break as per normal.
Working Bees !
We are calling for volunteers to assist in completing the GG storage shed. This involves putting up the ceiling furring strips, insulating the roof area above the new ceiling, and lining the walls with insulation material. As the walls are already gyp-rocked, it is intended to remove the outer iron sheeting and old nails, put the insulation in and them Tek screw the sheeting back into position, this solves the problem of loose nails and sheets of iron in one operation.
If we get enough volunteers then this should not take very long to complete, so please come and help all of us.
