Sunday 4th December 2011 - Christmas lunch.
This was held at the Mount Osmond Golf course clubrooms on Sunday 4th December 2011. About 60 AHARS members and their spouses attended.
Rob VK5RG won the raffle for a dinner for two at the Golf Club. An XYL won the hamper.

Sunday 20th November 2011 - AHARS Hamfest (Buy and Sell).
The 2011 Buy and Sell was held on Sunday 20th November at the Goodwood Community Centre, Rosa Street, Goodwood. It is the biggest gathering of amateurs in VK5.
There were about 50 tables of new and preloved equipment. Vendors including Aztronics, NBS Antennas & Masts, Navitas Solar, Strictly Ham, TET-Emtron, & TTS Systems.
ALARA & NERC provided food and drinks.
Michael CAREY spoke on his DStar activities.
WIA President Michawl Owen was in attendance.
Saturday 19th November 2011 - Club Convention.
On Saturday 19th November 2011, a get together of all South Australian amateur radio clubs was held at the AHARS shack at Blackwood. Federal WIA President Michael Owen was also in attendance. On Saturday night, about 40 people met at cafe Pellegrini on Unley Road for a meal.
17th November 2011 - General meeting.
This was held at the Belair Community Centre. Time & Frequency Measurement by Rob Culver VK5RC, and also My life in Amateur Radio by Christine Taylor VK5CTY.

October 2011 - Jamboree on the Air.
AHARS participated in JOTA at the new Shack but as JOTA fell at the end of the school holidays in SA, the participation was low. David VK5KC, Hans VK5YX, Frank VK5BF and Patrick VK5MPJ had just five Guides visit them.

The North Queensland Amateur Radio Convention is a biennial event held somewhere in North Queensland by one of several active Amateur Radio Clubs in the region. Christine VK5CTY, Jenny VK5FJAY, and Kevin VK5AKZ attended the 2011 convention held in Charters Towers.
17th September 2011 - NERC/AHARS Workshop.
Held at the AHARS shack. Converting an ATX Computer power supply to supply 13.8v at 20 amps. A total of 14 people attended.

10th & 11th September 2011 - Foundation licence course & examinations.
This was held at the shack. Nine students attended with seven passing the Foundation exam and two passing the Standard licence.
Saturday 3rd September 2011 - Official opening of the shack.
The AHARS shack was officially opened on Saturday 3rd September, 2011.

16th June 2011 - General meeting.
Held at the Belair Community Centre. Solar Power generation by Peter Cockburn VK5TZX. Following supper, Steve VK5AIM spoke on his life in amateur radio. This was followed by a short talk by Doc VK5BUG and Shaun VK5SC about their Titanic Centenary of Launch display.
31st May 2012 - VK5MGY.
In 2011 AHARS obtained the call sign of VK5MGY for a 12 month period to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the CQD MGY message that was sent out from the radio room on the Titanic as it went down in 1912. On May 31st, Doc VK5BUH and Shaun VK5SC used this call sign whilst portable in the Adelaide Arcade.
19th May 2011 - General meeting.
Held at the Belair Community Centre. John Harris VK5EV delivered a presentation on Amateur Seismology. John VK5BJE also spoke about his life in amateur radio. Visitors included Ian M0SRV.
On Monday 2nd May 2011, AHARS President David Cleggg signed an agreement with the Blackwood Guide troop for the use of a shed on their premises.

April 31st & 1st May 2011 - Foundation licence training course.
This was held at the Sea Rescue Squadron at West Beach. All 4 candidates were successful, along with an upgrade candidate.
Thursday 21st April 2011 - General meeting.
Held at Belair Community Centre. Members Buy and Sell, and a small auction of equipment from deceased estates. About 50 AHARS members attended.
Prior to the meeting, several AHARS members met at Cafe Primo at Blackwood for a meal.
19th & 20th March 2011 - John Moyle Memorial Field Day.
This took place at 'Womberoo', the property of Robert & Tina Clogg near Swan Reach. Eleven AHARS members spent the whole weekend there and three more joined the group on Sunday.

Held at the Belair Community Centre. Iain VK5ZD gave a presentation on Microwave technology with a demo to far away places. Iain made several contacts on 3, 5 & 10 GHZ from the clubrooms, as far away as The Hummocks in the Mid North. Rob Gurr gave a short talk on his life in amateur radio.

The AGM was held at the Belair Community Centre. Officers elected unopposed were President David Clegg VK5KC, Vice President Leigh VK5KLT, Secretary Sue Southcott VK5AYL, & Treasurer Richard Southcott VK5ZNC. Elected to Committee positions were Graham Dicker VK5ZFZ, Rob Gurr VK5RG, and Barry Williams VK5BW.
Graham Dicker VK5ZFZ gave a series of short talks on the hydraulic chassis punch and a USB LC Meter. There was also a small auction of equipment.

16th January 2011 - Annual BBQ.
The annual BBQ was held at Murray Bridge, hosted by the Lower Murray Amateur Radio Club. Over 60 people attended. Many thanks go to David VK5OV and Meg VK5YG for arranging the venue at a park beside the Murray River.
