Last Thursday's general meeting was the subject of a complaint made against the Club, that a couple of Ladies doing work in the Foyer were asked to let the persons gathered outside into the premises and they refused to do so, as they are not permitted to do this. The Council has strict guide lines as to this, and they must be followed.
It must be understood that no one can be permitted entry to the premises with out the group key holder (Phil or some other nominated person) opening the door to do so. Our meetings are scheduled to start at 7:30 pm, which is when the doors may be opened, we have been lucky so far that we have been able to open the doors earlier than that to allow us to set up, because there has been no other group using the room. Under no circumstances are members allowed to try and induce any other person working inside to open the doors for them, or chide them for refusing to do so, courtesy to others is very important. This will be the subject of a Committee meeting at which we will probably generate some local by-laws to add to the constitution which covers this area, this will include possible repercussions to any member found not complying and causing embarrassment to the Club.
