Buy and Sell info

This years AHARS buy and Sell, will be on Sunday the 3rd of November and this year it is being held at the Marion RSL, Norfolk Road Marion. We have sold all the tables we have available.
Buyers are $5.00 entry and get two raffle tickets for the door prises. Commercial sellers are $10.00 a table unless they donate a door prise, and they will receive food vouchers. Clubs can book one
table for free.

Sellers will have to wear a sellers RED wrist band and buyers will receive a buyers YELLOW wrist band. No wrist bands, no entry to the sales area.

I am looking for volunteers to help setup the venue on Saturday the second, and to say behind on Sunday the third to help clean up. Please take away all the stuff you do not sell at the Buy and Sell and the boxes and packaging you bring your stuff in. I envision we should start packing up by 2.00 PM on Sunday.

Ross is bringing the Strictly Ham shop over again this year and he has asked for six tables. We also have two new vendors this year, Pat Cookson who is wishing to dispose of a stock of Jackson hardware including exquisite tuning capacitors and reduction drives. She will also be bringing a selection of Hammond stock.

The second new vendor is Graham, VK3GL from RPL Communications in Melbourne. He specialises in the supply of antennas, cables, adaptors of all sorts and various types of Coaxial cable. He also stocks high end SWR and Power meters. He is donating a Door Prize, a Dual band Antenna. You can visit his web site at www.rlpcomms.com.au and pre order something that takes your fancy.

We have been offered entry to the halls from 1.00 PM on Saturday, the second of November and this will take some of the pressure off the mad rush on Sunday morning.

On Sunday the 3rd, sellers can enter the RSL hall from 7.00 AM to setup and the door will be open for buyers from 9.30 AM on the Sunday morning. The RSL are catering for the event and we will have bacon and egg roles for breakfast, 8.00AM to 10.00 AM @ $5 a serve, coffee and cake from 10.AM @ $3.00 and a lunch time sausage sizzle @ $2.50 each serve from 12 noon. The bar will be
open for soft drinks and something harder if you wish.
