Dear Member, The WIA wishes to advise members that the WIA 2020 Annual Conference has been cancelled. This is to comply with the Federal Government directive that precludes meetings or gatherings of more than 100 people and to also refrain from unnecessary travel. The WIA apologise for an inconvenience caused. A request has been made to ASIC for a delay in holding the Annual General Meeting. The WIA 2021 Annual Conference will be held in Hobart and the date will be advised soon. Please note, in light of the latest news on the COVID-19 Pandemic, the AHARS committee has decided to cancel all meetings, General, coffee and technical until further notice. All is not lost, after all we are radio people and we should be using our radios to communicate. Lets have a lot more people joining the Monday night net on the 147.00 MHZ repeater (with a -600 offset) starting at 8.00 PM. Also to replace our General meetings AHARS will be running another net on the same repeater on Thursday nights starting at 8.00 P.M. For those who may have been attending the BRL Gathering........
It has been the decision of the subcommittee of the Riverland Radio Club to postpone the BRL gathering planned for April 18th 2020 due to the Coronavirus situation, we are sorry for those who have made plans, maybe later in the year so we can get together at the Overland Corner Hotel.
